Breakfast, as the first meal of the day, is the most important way to start your day. It is essential to begin the daily grind with plenty of nutrients to keep you going. In our foods class, we learn hoe to make breakfasts that are delicious and nutritious.
Easy Healthy homemade Granola
Objective: To create granola as an option for a good and nutritional breakfast.
Nutrition Information: Our granola contained whole rolled oats as the main component and also used raw nuts and seeds along with unsweetened dried fruit and a pinch of sea salt as the dry ingredients. We also used raw honey, virgin coconut oil and vanilla extract as the liquid ingredients.
Preparation Skills: The preparation skills we needed were a knowledge of measurements, know-how of kitchen tools and utensils, and ability to safely clean the area.

Lab Role: My lab role was the head chef. I was responsible for supervision of the ingredient gathering and the actual preparation of the dish itself. I was in charge of cleaning up afterwards and making sure utensils found their proper place again.
Questions: 1). I believe we could modify this recipe for a nut allergy by replacing the nuts in the recipe with seeds or another healthy alternative that will give it a similar crunchy texture.
